Jobs for Cincinnati Graduates Receives $15,000 Grant from Staples Foundation for Learning
Cincinnati, OH (April 5, 2010)- Jobs for Cincinnati Graduates (JCG),a non-profit organization assisting students’ transition from high school by teaching them business, leadership and life skills, today announced it has received a $15,000 grant from Staples Foundation for Learning (SFFL), a private foundation created by Staples, Inc. Funding from SFFL will support JCG’s Ensuring Youth Success in College and/or Career, which provides youth with academic assistance to increase their literacy, math and critical thinking skills. Through this program, students receive the support needed to graduate from high school and successfully transition to college or career. Since 2004, SFFL has donated $75,000 to JCG in support of their programs.
“Ensuring Youth Success in College and/or Career allows local youth to explore career options, job attainment skills, teamwork and leadership,” said Barbara Seibel Boudi, president and chief executive officer of Jobs for Cincinnati Graduates. “With continued support from Staples Foundation for Learning, students can develop plans for their futures and increase their ability to obtain meaningful education and employment.”
