Jobs for Cincinnati Graduates was honored Feb. 11 with a SuperAward from the Southwest Ohio Region Workforce Investment Board (SWORWIB) for its youth summer jobs program.
Barbara Seibel Boudi, President and CEO of JCG, accepted the award from Mayor Mark Mallory. Seibel Boudi lives in Mount Lookout.
JCG was one of five summer youth providers recognized by the SWORWIB, which oversees the federal workforce investment system in Cincinnati and Hamilton County. The summer programs were funded by the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act. JCG served 45 youths, ages 16-19, who were placed in a variety of jobs.
The SWORWIB recognized 20 individuals, six non-profits, and three businesses
with SuperAwards at its annual meeting Feb. 11 at the Super Jobs Center, the area’s primary one-stop location for job seekers and employers.
“Our region is blessed to have an abundance of talent working toward the goals of getting more people into more jobs and making sure those people have the proper training,” said Sherry Kelley Marshall, President/CEO of the SWORWIB. “These talented individuals and organizations have shown sustained leadership in making this happen in Greater Cincinnati.”
Mayor Mallory and Hamilton County Commissioner David Pepper handed out the awards.
