"JCG motivated me to be a confident person. It provided me with skills such as public speaking and handshaking that I still use today. JCG is a wonderful program" ... LaVaughna Cooper, a 2004 graduate of Princeton High School, is currently working as a Chef.  

August 2006

"I was brought out of my shell and pushed to do what I never thought I could"... Akikah Honaker, a 1998 graduate of Western Hills High School, is currently working as an LPN.

"Where do I begin? I have many great memories but the one that stands out the most is winning first place in the city wide public speaking competition in 2000" ... Courtney Roebuck, a 2000 graduate of Winton Woods High School, achieved a degree from Central State University in 2005 and is currenty working as an Instructor Assistant.

Shervon Soloman, a 1998 graduate of Western Hills High School, achieved a degree from Wright State University in 2003 and is currently working as a Service Facilitator.

Benita Kerson, a 1987 graduate of Taft High School, achieved a degree from The Ohio State University in 1992 and is currently working as a Nurse Clinician.

There is a world to embrace, and I was taught the skills in JCG that I needed to succeed in life. "JCG made a difference, in that the program gave me the skills that I needed to obtain a job. After high school and prior to attending college, I worked in a clerical position in a hospital. The interviewing skills and the telephone skills that I was taught through JCG made a tremendous difference in my job performance. It was in 1992 that I developed successful interview skills and developed my first professional resume.  I have utilized the job training skills I received from my Career Specialist, Eugene Bouldin, and I have been successful in finding and keeping a job. Every student should be equipped with the job readiness skills JCG has to offer before leaving high school.  JCG trains you for the "world of work" after high school and prepares you for life-long learning”...
